Making Anderson Island Home
Home to just under 1,000 permanent residents, this charming island is accessible by boat or a 20 minute ferry ride out of Steilacoom. Since the late 1960’s, the island has been known as a relaxed and quiet retirement community. However, the population increases to nearly 4,000 people during the summer months, making it a great place for young and old alike. Recent development began in 2004 when a Los Angeles based company purchased many of the available lots on the island. These investors used many means of advertising to interest out of state investors, putting Anderson Island on the map as a world class community. Real estate in Anderson Island is a great investment for anyone looking for a summer home or a quiet place to retire.
