Issaquah Homes for Sale and Real Estate Listings

Issaquah is a suburban city located in King County. Nestled in between four different state parks (it is south of Lake Sammamish State Park, north of Squak Mountain State Park, west of Cougar Mountain State Park and east of Tiger Mountain State Forest), Issaquah is a city with a forested atmosphere. It is just south of Interstate I-90 and east of highway 900, which runs through Renton. The city is home to just over 26,000 residents and is one of the fastest growing areas in the Northwest. Issaquah is served by the Issaquah Public School District, which includes five high schools, four middle schools and 14 elementary schools. Issaquahs size has allowed for a variety of residencies, ranging from older and modern homes, apartments and condominiums. Issaquah has also has an array of organized and recreational activities for residents to enjoy.
Although Issaquah is not technically a small town, it still has a great sense of community. There are a lot of events that are organized by the city and community members. One of the biggest events of the year is the annual Issaquah Salmon Days Festival. It marks the return of the salmon to the freshwater streams, lakes and rivers of Issaquah. The celebration includes a parade, arts and crafts, live entertainment and, of course, fresh salmon cooked in a variety of different ways. Admission to the event is free, and it is enjoyed by both Issaquah residents and visitors.
