Newcastle Homes for Sale and Real Estate Listings

Newcastle is a smaller community located in southern King County. It is about 5 miles south of Bellevue, on the east side of Interstate 405. With a population of just under 10,000 residents, Newcastle is considered a suburban neighborhood. This said, many of the residencies are typical suburban homes, but there are other housing options, such as apartments and condominiums. Newcastle’s centrally set location allows for an easy commute to Bellevue, Seattle or Renton. Despite Newcastle’s smaller size, it is served by two different school districts: the Issaquah School District and the Renton School District. Since it is located over 500 feet above sea level, Newcastle boasts some of the greatest views, including sunsets over Lake Washington and to the east, the stunning Mount Rainier. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quiet suburban community, Newcastle is the right place.

More Newcastle Real Estate and Community Information:

Though Newcastle is not one of the larger cities in the area, there is still plenty to do and see.  The city has over 40 acres of park space for residents and visitors to enjoy. Lake Boren Park is one of the most popular, based on all that it has to offer its visitors. Peaceful green space and trails in a most natural state occupy the north end of the park. Down at the south end, one can find tennis courts, a sand volleyball court and a play area. There is also a fishing dock. Lake Boren Park’s size and variety makes it the perfect spot for a number of community events throughout the year. This is a free event where people gather for musical events, pony rides, arts and crafts and other entertainment. The park also has an outdoor summer concert series every year, as well as a new Friday Night Movie Night. While all of the parks provide fun for the entire family, The Golf Club at Newcastle provides a getaway for a more mature crowd. Two 18-hole public courses are nestled between both the Olympic Mountain Range and The Cascades, allowing for breathtaking views of both on clear days. The Club also has a restaurant and pub for golfers to enjoy. Meeting and banquet facilities with beautiful architecture and views overlooking Lake Washington make it a perfect spot for special events and weddings. Not only is The Golf Club at Newcastle a popular spot among Newcastle residents, but also draws in golfers from all around the Puget Sound. Newcastle’s brilliant views, spread out homes and convenient location make it an excellent place to consider home.
