Normandy Park Homes for Sale and Real Estate Listings
At a population of just under 7,000 residents, Normandy Park is one of the smaller cities in King County. Tucked away off of State Route 509, the city is often forgotten about as one of King County’s real estate treasures. It lies just east of the Sea-Tac International Airport and just west of the Puget Sound. Burien sits to its north; Des Moines to the south. Though the city is slightly nestled away, it is not so much so as to be isolated from the more urban areas. This said, commuting to larger cities such as Seattle or Bellevue for work or entertainment is not hard to do. A mostly residential community, Normandy Park has plenty to offer for the real estate market. At first development, Normandy Park was geared towards a more upper-class community, with French-Normandy inspired architecture making up its large homes. Today, the city still maintains this appeal, though more affordable real estate, such as apartments and more conservative homes are available. The Highline School District serves Normandy Park residents, with one elementary school, one middle school and one high school within the city’s boundaries. Though Normandy Park is one of the smaller and less heard-of cities in the region, it is quickly becoming one of the most desired communities for which to acquire real estate.

More Normandy Park Real Estate and Community Information:
Perhaps one of the most desirable neighborhoods to live is in the private community known as “The Cove”. The 1800 homes located on The Cove lie on a total of nearly 20 acres, including some on direct waterfront property. Many homes have views of the Puget Sound and the Olympic Mountains. Those who don’t can utilize the public waterfront space to catch stunning sunsets over the water. The Cove also has tennis courts, walking trails and a number of events throughout the year for its residents. The Normandy Park public Community Center is also located on The Cove, but it is open to all residents of Normandy Park. The city’s desirable location contributes to its appeal. Residents can enjoy the natural beauty of the mountains and ocean at home and don’t have to travel far to reap the benefits of the cities nearby. The newly renovated Southcenter Mall, for example, is not more than 15 minutes away. The large mall features over 240 stores and restaurants. Also added in the remodel is a 16-screen movie theatre. Just north of the main shopping district is The Family Fun Center. Here, patrons can find entertainment for the whole family including an arcade, laser tag, mini-golf and bumper boats. Nearby Seattle also offers entertainment for visitors. Normandy Park’s real estate and charm should not be forgotten about when searching for a new home.
