In 1901, Renton was known for its lumber and coal production. However, during WWII, Boeing built a factory in Renton to produce planes for the war effort. The new factory attracted an abundance of workers, causing a drastic increase in population. The factory still remains active today, and continues to attract countless employees. Rentons rich history is just one of the reasons so many people decide to make it their home. Renton is ideally located just minutes from Seattle, making it a great place to live for any Seattle commuter. In addition, many new housing and retail developments are currently being constructed to meet the rising demand for more Renton real estate.
