SeaTac Real Estate Listings

SeaTac is a city located in southern King County with a population of 25,700 residents. It can easily be described as the area surrounding the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. SeaTac gets its name from the two major cities nearby, though geographically, it is much closer to Seattle than Tacoma. It is just east of where I-5 meets I-405. Its location makes it very easy for residents to commute to work in some of the larger surrounding cities such as Bellevue or Renton. Commuting to work might not be an issue though; SeaTac has plenty to offer within the job market. There are 80 "Fortune 1000" businesses located in SeaTac and over 30,000 people are employed in the city. Many of those employed also reside in the real estate that SeaTac has to offer. SeaTacs real estate is assorted; homes, apartments and condominiums all exist. The majority of residencies in SeaTac are owned and the median home value is just over $300,000. SeaTac is served by the Highline Public School District, which also serves cities such as Normandy Park and Des Moines.

SeaTac Real Estate and Community Information:

Though SeaTac is considered an urban city, there are plenty of places to escape to for some time outdoors. One of the best parks to visit, especially during summer months, is the Angle Lake Park. Here visitors can find all the favorite amenities of a summer park, such as swimming, a boat launch and fishing areas. Picnic shelters with barbeques and open recreation areas are also available. Angle Lake Park also provides the location for SeaTacs annual International Festival. The festival is usually held at the end of June and has all of the fun things you could ask for. Live entertainment, food and arts and crafts vendors are all a part of the fun. A parade and a family run add to the excitement. Other events at the park include Music in the Park and Theatre in the Park, which are live performances by various local groups, and an Easter Egg Hunt in spring. New as of 2008 is the SeaTac Farmers Market. At the outdoor market, vendors and customers come together to sell and buy fresh goods. Since the market is new, there is plenty of room for it to grow into a SeaTac tradition. The Highline Botanical Garden is located in SeaTac. The garden is open free of charge all year round. Here, there are a mixture of gardens, including a Rose Garden and a Japanese Garden. Perhaps one of the most unique is the Sensory Garden, which is designed to delight all of the senses through the plants and architectural design.  SeaTac too has a beautiful Community Center facility that brings residents together for recreational activities. The center offers a wide range of activities for all ages including camps, sports and music lessons. There are also a few very unique programs such as Hula lessons, babysitter training and emergency preparedness courses. Overall, the North SeaTac Community Center works to bring community members together in a positive way.
