Snohomish County is the third most populous county in Washington State with a population of 686,300 residents at the most recent consensus. It is located north of King County, south of Skagit County and east of Chelan County. The county is quickly growing, closing the gap between the first and second largest counties in the state, King and Pierce, respectively. The largest city and also the county seat is Everett. Other noted cities within Snohomish County include Lynnwood, Edmonds and Marysville. Snohomish County is served by 15 different public school districts. Reaching a higher level of education is also possible in Snohomish County. Edmonds Community College, Everett Community College and the Central Washington University-Lynnwood campus are all located within the county. Recently, the State Legislature approved a plan to create a fourth University of Washington campus in Snohomish County, although the exact location has not yet been decided.

With big commercial cities such as Everett and Lynnwood, Snohomish County offers plenty to its residents as far as the job market goes. It is also not difficult to commute to other cities for work. I-5 runs directly through Snohomish County and connects to Seattle or I-405 to connect to Bellevue. Another convenient option is Sound Transits Sounder Train, which heads south to Seattle and has a connection to Tacoma. Its rapid growth and convenience relating to education and work make Snohomish County a much sought-after place to live.
 Residents of Snohomish County are lucky to call it home. True to the Pacific Northwest, it has over 100 parks and 34 miles of trails. Even though the county is so large in area, there are parks spread out so no one is too far away for a day outdoors. Wyatt Park, which is located on Lake Stevens, is a great park to visit, especially in the summer months. Here, there is a boat launch for people who do not live on the lake to enjoy their boats. There is also a beach, docks and picnic areas. Farther north, Flowing Lake Park in the city of Snohomish also has a boat launch and lake access. In addition Flowing Lake Park has campsites and cabins for people looking for a longer getaway. The Evergreen State Fairgrounds are located in Snohomish County too. The fair itself takes place every year at the end of summer, but there are different events that run on and off throughout the year. These include animal shows, harvest festivals, haunted houses, holiday-themed events and much more. If the outdoors does not appeal to you, dont count Snohomish County out. From the large Alderwood Mall in Lynnwood, to the Seattle Outlet Mall in Marysville, there is plenty to do indoors. The newly-renovated Tulalip Casino Hotel and Spa in Marysville might also be of interest.
