Appropriately named for its heavily wooded residential areas, the city of Woodinville is a Northwest treasure. Located in the northernmost part of King County, Woodinville has a population of 10,500 residents. Its residents value the sense of community that naturally comes along with living in Woodinville. Much effort is put into making Woodinville a comfortable and safe place to reside. Woodinville is located east of I-5 and the city of Bothell, off of State Route 522. Considered a mostly residential community, Woodinville also has some local tourism due to the number of wineries and the Redhook Brewery. The Wedge and The Upper West Ridge neighborhoods are both conveniently located near the highway for those commuting to work. Along with the summer concert series previously mentioned, a number of other seasonal events promoting volunteerism and community involvement in general are put on. An amateur art show and Earth Day tree planting ceremony start off the year. On the 4th of July, “Bluesfest” takes place, featuring blues bands and arts and crafts for kids. A Pumpkin Hunt and Light Festival end the year out. Woodinville’s unique mix of community and tourist activity makes it a fun and desirable place to call home.
