LYNNWOOD WA HOMES FOR SALE

The city of Lynnwood lies where Interstate 5 meets Interstate 405. With a population of around 35,000 people, it is the third largest city in Snohomish County.  It is just north of Mountlake Terrace and south of Mukilteo. Lynnwood is often considered the northernmost city in whats considered the Greater Seattle Area. Lynnwood is a part of the Edmonds School District and includes three high schools, three middle schools and twelve elementary schools. Edmonds Community College and a campus of Central Washington University are also located in Lynnwood. Lynnwood is a suburban city, so there are many homes and also apartments and condominiums. Though it is suburban, it is on the larger side, so entertainment is not hard to find. Perhaps one of the most noticeable things about Lynnwood is that it has a large shopping district. Residents of Lynnwood find themselves not needing to leave the comfort of their hometown, even for big shopping trips. Lynnwood also has a number of areas to escape the busier areas of town. Lynnwood is a great city to live in, with plenty to do, but also with the security of a suburban town.

One of the most well-known aspects of Lynnwood is that it has a great shopping district, exemplified in the Alderwood Mall. The mall is one of the largest in the area and offers a wide variety of stores and restaurants. Along one side of the mall is an outdoor shopping strip called, "The Village¬Ě making the mall unique from others. Red rock paths and architecture along with white lights strung across the storefront and trees give The Village a comfortable atmosphere. Inside the mall itself, over 175 stores like Macys, Nordstrom, Lucky and Urban Outfitters keep shoppers occupied. Should you get hungry along the way, restaurants such as Claim Jumper, P.F. Changs and Romanos Macaroni Grill are in the same vicinity as the mall. A 16-screen movie theatre is also on the grounds of the Alderwood Mall. On top of the mall, the surrounding area is filled with a plethora of other stores and restaurants, enjoyed by residents and visitors. If the business of shopping is not for you, dont count Lynnwood out. There are plenty of other activities to enjoy, such as the Lynnwood Municipal Golf Course. The 18-hole, par 98 course is open all year long for golf-lovers. The course is well-kept and also offers lessons for the more inexperienced. There are 17 well-maintained parks in the city of Lynnwood, including recreation parks as well as more natural parks. The Scriber Lake Park is one of the natural ones; it has wetlands, trails and picnic areas. Wilcox Park, which is attached to Scriber Lake Park, offers a more active park, including play areas and basketball courts. Lynnwood also has a Recreation Center, which has a swimming pool, exercise room and racquetball courts. Lynnwood, with its perfect mix of retail and recreation, would make a great hometown for anyone.
